Hello Gorgeous!

I don’t know about you, but I find it incredibly easy to get distracted and completely forget what I was doing.

This isn’t a big deal when it is for something small like forgetting to get a napkin for my meal. However, when I get distracted from something that I truly deeply need, that’s another matter.

I have purchased courses, workbooks, and even recordings from other hypnotist’s, whom I adore, and yet they tend to sit on the corner of my desk, in my “download” folder, or get filed in a drawer of “things I’ll get to later”.

This happens because I got distracted by something else that seems more pressing. Or, if I’m being completely transparent, I am overwhelmed by the idea of starting them at all.

Am I alone in this?

I spent a few months last year creating an amazing resource for my clients. Something that would help change the narrative of their life (and therefore life) in a powerful way. Something that I broke down into bite size pieces on how to take everything they didn’t want in their life and use it as ammunition to figure out and create the life they did want.

When I was done with this, I put it aside. I needed some space from it as I had spent months all up in its business. 😉

Then, when I was needing a change my own narrative, I dug it out again. Holy Crap was I ever proud of what I created! It was a beautiful healing piece!

So, I decided to go through my own program… just after I finished this other thing…

Cue repeating cycle! Ugh, I knew this was reeeeeeeally important.

Blam-O, I had the amazing idea of how to combat this.

I scheduled an online workshop where I would go through the program in live time with other people who wanted to change their lives too – I was committed!

The advantage for me to do it this way, is that I had a dedicated time, on a dedicated day, to a dedicated group of people.

For me, this is the best way for me to achieve success. To have to do it right then and there.

The participants found it helpful to ask any questions and to get my immediate feedback.

They found committing to a specific time actually enabled them to work through the content vs getting distracted by something else.

They found hearing the questions that someone else asked helped them to gain insight into what they wanted/needed.

And on top of it all, they drank in the wonderful healing component of feeling supported in a group.

When I offered this workshop last year it was smack dab in the middle of the holiday season and people were really excited to join in but had a lot going on.

So, I have decided to offer another opportunity for you to join me in my New Truth Workshop. In this workshop, I will help you identify your current narrative and walk you step by step the process of rewriting your life’s narrative to help you start living the life you want.

As research shows, where we put out energy is where we get our results. So, let’s join together on Sunday, March 6 from 1-4 pm and refocus our energy and narrative on achieving the things we do want in our life.

“If it’s this is hard now, How am I going deal “If it’s this is hard now, How am I going deal with X more amount of time?!”

Sounds familiar? I call that future projecting. When you’re struggling with dealing with the present moment and then you think of having to deal with it even longer… 🤯

This is a time when anxiety can blossom and flourish. The feeling of overwhelm and not being able to cope with the future. 

This is a very unkind game your mind plays with you. Because you don’t have to deal with the future three months (or insert your time woes). You only have to deal with the present moment. 

Ever! 

You only have to deal with this moment right now. 

I’ve needed this reminder frequently in this pregnancy. Especially right now as my uterus is irritable and using every opportunity to contract. Sometimes for hours on end. I’m 34 weeks and just need to hold on for 3 more then I can have my home birth. 

Or after a challenging nights’s “rest” because it hardly constitutes sleep. The thoughts of not being able to sleep for weeks sneakily creep into my mind. 

So, I know this reminder is important for me and I’m sure I’m not alone. 

You/we only have to deal with this present moment. 

And even better- you are dealing with this moment 😘🫶🏻🤗

When you give permission for yourself to have new opportunities and travel new paths, it allows flow to enter your life.

Place your hands on your heart Center and repeat “I’m open to new opportunities and new paths. I give myself permission to discover new opportunities and new paths”

Then, in stillness, dream for a few moments of feelings and ideas you’ve been craving. 

Then stay open and watch the flow that comes your way.

I spent this past weekend attaining my next level of Shamanic Reiki and Sound Healing. 🪘🎹🎼 The weekend was full of music and healing as well as information packed learning and play. 

I was blessed to be in the beautiful surroundings of @retreat_gaia_wellness with amazing souls full of light and love. 

I am also deeply grateful to do yoga with the amazing Eric from @yogimeyoga He’s such a gift 🧘🏻‍♀️

This baby and I were so fortunate to receive many beautiful healing and releasing reiki sessions! 

And now you can benefit from distance or in person Reiki and sound healing. I’m so excited to get a few more instruments to offer group sound baths!!!
How many times have you said “yes” when your w How many times have you said “yes” when your whole being was screaming NO!?

When we don’t listen to ourselves and our needs our unconscious mind gets upset. 

It starts to fill our minds and body with yucky thoughts and feeling. For some that might feel like anxiety, disconnect, unworthiness, low self esteem and confidence. 

Which is no surprise because we’re not honouring or truth, or needs, or our being. We’re essentially telling our selves to F off and shut up - which doesn’t feel good!

One of the ways to reverse these feelings, to let go of these feelings. Is to give ourselves permission to say no - To encourage encourage ourselves to say no. 

It may be so long since you’ve listened to your needs and self that you might have forgotten that’s an option. 

So by giving yourself and reminding yourself of that permission, you put it back on the table as an option for you. And the more you use that as an option the more it’ll become a habit and a go to response when needed.
I’m pregnant! It’s not mine or my partner’ I’m pregnant! 

It’s not mine or my partner’s. This is a surrogacy pregnancy (I’m the oven) and a life lesson for me. 

In life we have themes that will keep rising up until we fully heal and resolve them. 

This experience is giving me an opportunity to show the universe - I’ve learned the lessons. 

Hypnosis has changed my mind and as a result changed my world. I now have the skills to navigate my way over hurdles that would have had me dancing in panic before. 

It is so encouraging to look at my emotional toolbox and know deep inside - I’ve got this! 🥰🙏🏻✨

I have heard this from many clients. For some, it was they weren’t allowed to cry. 

For others they weren’t allowed to express their feelings. They had to cater to their parent’s feelings. 

The good news is, you are not that little girl anymore and you don’t have to follow the rules that were made for you when you were little. 

You are the author of your own narrative. Meaning you get to write and make the rules now. 

You get to choose how you react in situations. 

You get to choose the narrative that guides your life!

You get the power back!!!!

Stating what you are struggling with is not statin Stating what you are struggling with is not stating your needs. 

I have fallen into this thought process recently. When I’ve told people what I’m struggling with, I had hoped that they would hear what I needed as a solution and then offer help. 

Then, when they didn’t help, support or offer relief to the things I was struggling with, I felt fruuuuuuuustrated!

When I was getting ready to post this, I saw someone else’s post quoting Brene Brown. 

“Clear is kind” - Yesssss 👏🏻

When I’ve thought about how I can communicate what I need, I feel a lessening of tension. 

Sometimes it can feel the hardest to be clear and honest with the ones closest to us. 

So today’s Affirmation, “I can courageously communicate my needs” is a reminder that we CAN do this. 

And a reminder when we state what we need Clearly, we’re being kind. 

Then there is no guess work, reading between the lines, or mind reading for the other person. 

This also takes us our of victim mode and into solution mode - much more empowering. 

Again, you’ve got this!

Some days can feel overwhelming. Have you ever h Some days can feel overwhelming. 

Have you ever had a list of all the things going wrong in your life and it seems like there’s no end?

Then something else goes off of plan and you add, “and now this too”.😞

When you start feeling yourself spiral like that - Take a moment. 

Your mind and emotions are asking for your attention and the more you push these feelings away the more they’re going to increase in volume. 

And increase the feeling of spiralling out of control. 

When you feel like this, Stop what you are doing and say out loud a list everything that is piling up in your mind. 

Everything! Don’t repeat any of the things. But say every little nagging thing. 

Often you’ll start out with great speed and then slow down as you start going through the list. 

Eventually you’ll feel like you’re grasping at tiny straws. Keep going until there’s nothing. 

This breaks the overwhelmed spiral by allowing you to acknowledge your emotions and your upset. Aka process what you’re feeling. 

Then remember - you’ve got this!! 🤗🥰💖

I’ve realized so many of the things I have done in my life - church, volunteering, theatre, was in an effort to find a community I could be apart of - my place of belonging. 

Have you ever been in a group of people, talked with them and spent time with them, only to struggle with feelings of being alone?

Me too

Now my soul is singing as it feels connected at my group events and with my interactions here - my community. 

One of my goals and focus for this year is to really create and support the community I’ve craved and needed. 

A place for quirky, beautiful souls to gather, feel supported and experience refuge. 

I think you’re reading this because something deep inside is pulled, drawn in, intrigued by this. 

So welcome my beautiful friend!

“Firsts” how do they make you feel? Last week “Firsts” how do they make you feel?

Last week I went back to the gym for the first time since gyms closed - again 😟

I struggled. I hurt, I couldn’t catch my breath, I cried. 

But then I realized, I only have to have this “first” once. 

From here on my body will remember how it feels to move. 

I’ll be able to gather information that I can use to aid me when I do this again. 

Each time I do it, I’ll have more and more understanding of how I can further this process for myself!

Which means, the first time can be the most challenging but it’ll get easier. 

So if you’re starting a “first”. Know that after the first step it’ll be easier. 

Be compassionate and gentle with yourself as you navigate yourself through this process. It’s new and so it’s ok to take time to figure it out. 

You’ll get stronger with consistency!

Know that you’re not alone. There’s support and love out there being directed at you! Yes - YOU! By more than just me I’m sure too🥰

Take one small step - a different step - in a different direction then you are currently taking.

Today I took off my gloves and wrapped my arms around a big steady tree. 
 
I touched the bark of the aged tree and asked it to take any negative, heavy, stressed energy down to the earth where it could be cleansed and repurposed. 

I asked called up the earth’s grounding energy and invited the healing strength in. 

I stood and held fast to the reassuring strong tree and felt the emotions as they left. 

The bark felt reassuring against my hands and body. 

I stood in the stillness of the woods. 

Then I walked and sang whatever my heart needed to say. (Video included)

It wasn’t about sounding pretty but sounding true. 

May you feel the healing in your heart as you listen. 

Then I saw the vibrant winter sun shining through the trees and felt compelled to take a picture. 

 I’m so glad I did! Do you see the two beautiful blue orbs?

I thanked Mother Earth and Father Sky. 

The North, the South, the East and the West. 

The thanked the fire -sun, the wind, the water - snow, and the earth - the beautiful woods. 

I thank source and all guidance rooted in love our higher!

Are you kind to yourself? When my clients first r Are you kind to yourself?

When my clients first reach out, this is one of the things they want help finding. Kindness in thoughts and action toward one’s self. 

They look in the mirror only long enough to utter something harsh to themselves. 

Or they don’t even take the time to connect with themselves in the mirror. 

I encourage you, each time you wash your hands today, look yourself in the eye and smile at yourself. 

Then tell yourself, “I love you!”

You are worthy of kindness and love! 

Give yourself permission to give and receive kindness.
I went to church alone at a very young age. I st I went to church alone at a very young age. 

I started going by myself at 10. 

I would call people and ask for a ride and sometimes would sit all by myself. 

In these photos, I’m approx 13 or 14 

I craved a lot of things that this religion gave me - structure, “family”, goals…

But most of all, I was always drawn to the spiritual aspect and to helping others connect with spirituality. 

Though, Truth be told, I was rubbish at that part because I didn’t really get it. 

Have you ever wondered how people of varying religions can all believe that their religion is the truth?

I firmly believe that we all have a spiritual need that needs nourishing - just like we need to be nourished with food. 

Remember,  Religion and spirituality are two different things. 

Religion is a construct made of rules designed to help connect you to your spirituality. 

Spirituality is something that connects and brings you deep contentment. No structured entity required. 

For me, a walk in the woods, a hug from a loved one, the warmth of the sun on my face are all very spiritual experiences. 

Now, quite a few years later, I have reconnected with spirituality on a deeper level than ever before. 

I get to help others connect to it too through the coaching part of my Hypnosis. 

It brings me such joy to do this. 

What’s are your thoughts on spirituality?
Lean into your knowing. There’s a part deep in Lean into your knowing. 

There’s a part deep inside of you that knows the answer. 

This is your reminder to listen to that part. 

The thing is, it’s often the quietest part inside. 

Other people’s options, limiting beliefs we been told and taught about ourselves, and the fear of trusting ourselves allows this knowing to become so quiet almost imperceptible. 

How do you know what you know?

Listen to the way your tummy feels in a situation. Does it feel tight or knotted?

I’ve been around people that the scent of them was displeasing. Nothing to do with culture or anything like that. But when their scent mixed with mine if didn’t smell right. 

Maybe there’s a voice you hear that says no! 

Or maybe you’re trying to reason why you should or shouldn’t do something because there’s an invisible obstacle. That obstacle can be your inner knowing roadblocking you. 

Your body, mind or energy will give you clues to that inner knowing. 

The more you listen, the louder it’ll get.
Childhood anxiety… I’m seeing a lot of client Childhood anxiety…

I’m seeing a lot of clients who’ve had anxiety from childhood. I feel like this is an explanation for a large group of those people. 

Dose it resonate with you?

Some people often thinks it’s hereditary. 

However, we can’t teach what we don’t have. 

And as a result no matter how hard we try to hide it from our children, anxiety isn’t a word that is heard and remembered. 

It’s a feeling and a reaction that is observed and unconsciously patterned. 

Add being an Empath… 

Dealing with emotions and having emotional boundaries. Those are big lessons to learn. 

And they can learned at any age!

In these sessions, I will share various breathing and coping strategies to help get you through your day, you'll gather in the positive vibes of like-minded women, receive insights that will help navigate your life, and best of all, be lead through emotionally grounding and healing hypnosis sessions. 

Grounded Sisters Hypnosis Sessions will be meeting this month on January 23 at 1pm EST. 

The theme will be "Letting Go to Receive". We need to let go of our old ways that aren’t working for us in order to receive the ways we want.

Do you belong? I grew up feeling like an outsider Do you belong?

I grew up feeling like an outsider no matter where I went. 

I didn’t even feel belonged in myself.

I wasn’t following the current of my true self and this resulted in confusion, discomfort and disharmony within myself. 

Good news though, When you shift your inner world, your outer world shifts too. 

This can only happen when you let go of your old ways. 

You have to let go to receive new ways of being and belonging. 

“Letting go to Receive” is the theme of this month’s Grounded Sisters group Hypnosis session.
