Back Pain – 15 of 21
Do you have chronic pain? Can you relate?
I woke up and couldn’t move. My back was in so much pain.
I just assumed I had to stretch or strengthen muscles. Then I noticed that a pattern was starting to form.
I was talking to a friend, and she asked me what I was thinking before it got sore each time. That’s crazy I thought – as if it’s as simple as that. But I started listening to my thoughts.
There’s a favourite quote of mine that I was forgetting, “The body will whisper before it screams.”
So, I decided to tune into that and I noticed it was starting up around times where I felt indecisive…
Once I started feeling the twinges in my back, I would mentally take a step back from the situation that I was in and just observe what was going on, how I was feeling, and if my gut was trying to tell me anything. Once I started doing that, I was able to tune into a part of my unconscious mind that was trying to whisper to me.
As I got better at doing that, my back pain decreased significantly.
