Don’t Wait Until You Are Perfect – 16 of 21
Have you ever stopped doing something because it wasn’t perfect? Me too!!!
If I’m being totally honest, this used to happen all. of. the. time! I was a perfectionist and it stopped me so many times from trying new things, enjoying new things, doing things… basically living.
I still like to do a good job at what I do but I don’t usually have that wall stopping me from attempting to do something that I am not sure how/if it will work out. I am more inclined to jump in with curiosity instead.
I also have a very experimental side. A side that craves and loves new adventures and loves to dabble in odd and interesting things. It is so lovely to let this side shine more. As a result, creativity is allowed to flow again. Being creative means doing things outside of the box and doing things differently. I LOVE DOING THIS!
I think this is my most favourite video I’ve ever made! It’s also oddly the most vulnerable I’ve ever felt and oddly probably the least triggering for anyone else.
I love love love music. However, It’s very much right or wrong to me. Either you’re on the right note or you’re not.
In this video I play on my flute, by ear, a song I haven’t figured out yet. And I have an a-ha moment as I’m playing.
This is THE most real-life lesson I think I have ever discovered making a video.
Did you find a parallel? Do you recognize the song?
Side note, doing something you love and surrendering to the experience allows you to flow into a trance. In this video when I start playing my flute you can see my eyes flutter in trance.
