My parents did everything they could to get me to stop. They tried gifts, they tried yucky techniques to get me to stop.

But I wasn’t ready.

Most stop when they’re two years old but I didn’t stop until I gave birth to my first child.

My parents loved me and wanted to protect me from ridicule, but it wasn’t enough.

I didn’t stop until I was ready.

This message is for other parents who are trying so hard to guide their children and their children just aren’t responding to their efforts. Sometimes we want to blame ourselves. Sometimes we are watching people in our lives doing something that we just know they shouldn’t be. We try to caution them but…

They just aren’t ready.

However, when you’re ready, change happens so quickly!
